The Illawarra has a proud tradition of personalised number plates, which if nothing else are a source of amusement for the speed camera operators.
Like a peacock displaying its plumage, customised plates are a way for cocky drivers to attract the attention of the rest of the world.
Those such as 4DCOPZ, 4MYEGO, 2HOT4U, 3SEX4U and SPUNKY are all motorised mating calls of persons not exactly short on ego.
Short Orders reader Heather, of Albion Park, is a little more worried about the self-esteem of a driver who regularly parks near the Albion Park Hotel.
Their number plate: IIDIOT.
